The Court charges you a filing fee to lodge your paperwork to divide your superannuation. This is a necessary step and the fee is $200. The Superannuation fund may charge a small fee to process the division (splitting) of the superannuation BUT this is usually taken out of the existing superannuation balance.

Once you complete our questionnaire we will prepare the Consent Orders to allow the superannuation to be divided. You and your spouse will sign the Orders and return them to us. We will send them to the Super Fund for approval. This can take a few weeks. Then once approval is obtained we lodge the Application with the Court for final approval-this takes about 14 days. Once returned to us we send them back to the Super Fund and they will process the actual division of the superannuation. You should allow about 8 weeks after both parties have signed the paperwork for the actual division to occur..
